Qualification and experience of the translators

Where possible, our translators are either members of the Institute of Translators and Interpreters or the Institute of Linguists. We, as a company, are a member of the ATC (Association of Translation Companies). All three associations lay down stringent regulations which must be adhered to. Translators are selected for work depending on their specific experience and knowledge in the field in question. We only use native translators to carry out the translations, thus translators are always translating into their mother tongue. This ensures consistency and accuracy in terminology and ensures that the text "flows".

Purpose of the translation

We make every effort to produce an accurate and idiomatic translation of the original text. It is in your own interest to ensure that we are aware of the intended purpose of the translation. If translations are intended for printing purposes, eg. brochures, manuals, etc. we recommend you have the work checked by a native agent/distributor in the country in question, to ensure that the correct "in-house" terminology has been used in each case. Any information which would be useful to our translator in this respect should be forwarded to us in advance, prior to commencing the work.

We hold Professional Indemnity Insurance covering all work performed by our company. Please ask us should you require further details in this respect.  We carry out all of our services on the understanding that our clients take responsibility for any infringement of copyright, etc. and indemnify us against all claims and expenses of any nature whatsoever.
